“Cherchez la femme” is a French expression that translates to “look for the woman” in English. Beyond the literal meaning, the phrase was used to imply that a woman is surely at the root of any issue. If you are unhappy, look for the woman. If you are experiencing money troubles, look for the woman. If you are angry, look for the woman.
