Me Time
Me Time is a visceral solo exploring the struggle to find personal peace in a world demanding constant composure. Through newspapers, deep breaths, and a cigarette, the dancer navigates the exhausting tightrope women walk as they are told to meditate instead of scream, smile instead of protest, and relax in a world that offers many reasons to seethe.
The creation of Me Time was supported in part by the Atlas Arts Lab Fellowship.
